Caitlin Southwick
Founder and CEO
Caitlin Southwick is the Founder and Executive Director of Ki Culture and Sustainability in Conservation (SiC) and the CEO of Ki Futures.
She holds a Professional Doctorate in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage from the University of Amsterdam.
Before founding Ki Culture, Caitlin worked in the conservation field for eight years in museums and sites around the world, including the Vatican Museums, The Getty Conservation Institute, The Uffizi Gallery, and Rapa Nui.
She was the Secretary of the Working Group on Sustainability for the International Council of Museums (ICOM) and a professional member of the American Institute of Conservation’s Sustainability Committee and is currently a Climate Reality Leader for the Climate Reality Project.
She is an internationally recognized speaker and trainer on sustainability.

Collaborations
Ki Culture
Ki Culture is a nonprofit (Dutch registered ANBI Stichting & US 501 c-3 equivalent) working internationally on the nexus of sustainability and culture. The organization collaborates with international partners and experts on research and development, resource creation, and grant funded projects and programs.
Currently, Ki Culture is involved in the HORIZON Europe project GoGreen and has published three
Ki Books - internationally recognized step by step guides on how to be sustainable for cultural professionals.
Ki Culture has a voting share of the Ki Futures B.V. and is financially supported by the company. The relationship between Ki Futures and Ki Culture provides Ki Futures with credibility and trust in the cultural sector and enables additional revenue streams through grants, donations, and subsidies.
Sustainability in Conservation
SiC is a branch of Ki Culture focusing on greener technologies in art conservation. The organization is volunteer-run and works on international research, resource development, and dissemination of sustainable practices for the conservation field.
SiC has programs for students, national branches for localized information and action, and in 2022 published the

Ki Futures believes that collaboration is key to a sustainable future and therefore actively engages in developing partnerships and collaborations with organization around the world. Ki Futures utilizes these partnerships to further the cause of sustainability but also for cross promotion and to expand Ki’s network and reach.
